Drissia Ras, a Morrocan graduate student at The Evergreen State College tested the amount of arsenic removal in biosand water filters using iron nails. She found surprising results. Drissia is an intern with Friendly Water for the World. Biosand water filters not only remove pathogens from drinking water, they also are effective in removing arsenic.
