What Causes Fibroids and Endometriosis?
Posted by onDetails
http://naturalhealthforwellbeing.com – What causes fibroids? As a man, I never knew the complexities of the female body and the issues most women face when it comes to health. Now I do. I won’t say I understand everything because that would make me sound like the typical egotistical male who thinks he knows everything about the opposite sex.
I’ll be the first one to admit women are complicated but the health complications most ladies face could be very simple if doctors concentrated on getting to the root cause of the problem instead of electing to treat symptoms. Yep…most doctors treat symptoms and rarely get to the real cause of the problem and if you continue to read more you’ll see what I mean.
By the way, this post today is dedicated to my cousin who inspired me to learn more about fibroids because she has had her battles with them.
I hope this will give her and other women reading this some insight into this condition and finally answer the question of what causes fibroids and how they might cure them naturally before they progress and manifest into having to undergo a surgical procedure.
Let’s Talk Fibroids
Fibroids are growths which occur on the muscular wall of the womb and generally happen in women over 30.
For some reason, fibroids are more present in African American Women than in any other ethnic group but that doesn’t mean they don’t occur in other racial groups.
The fact is any women at any time can develop fibroids and more are starting to do so. So what really causes them?
Simply put, this condition is caused by estrogen dominance or too much estrogen in the body.
Well, you might be asking yourself, ” how can a woman have too much estrogen when from a hormonal standup; estrogen is what essentially makes a woman…a woman”?
It can get quite confusing but think about it this way,”too much of a good thing, isn’t good at all.”
The body always wants to maintain balance and if it can’t it will either pull or deposit from/to other places to do so. If it chooses to do the latter with estrogen, it can result in fibroids which then could cause a hysterectomy or worst yet cancer.
Yup…its a domino effect and that is exactly why its important to get to the root cause of it and not just treat symptoms.
So, if these growths are caused by too much estrogen then just how does this hormone increase in the body?
What Causes Fibroids
Alright, so now we know the real cause of fibroids but what we don’t know is how estrogen increases in a woman’s body, right? The rise in estrogen levels in women can be contributed to something called Xenoestrogens.
When these compounds enter the body, they mimic the effects of estrogen and interact with receptor sites on cells.
This process then results in an increase of estrogen.
You’re probably asking yourself at this moment what are Xenoestrogens in and how you can avoid them, right?. It will shock you to know these “pseudo” estrogens are located in things you use or eat everyday such as:
Pharmaceutical Medications (Birth Control Pills are a big one)
Plastics
Commercially raised animal products { make sure your meat has no antibiotics or hormones in it)
Food Additives and Preservatives
Personal Care Products ( Make up, Perfume, and Lotion) unless they are organic
Styrofoam Products
Laundry and Dishwashing Detergents
In essence, most of the stuff used everyday to make our lives a little more convenient contributes to Xenoestrogens! You gotta be careful.
On a side note, one of the side effects of fibroids is heavy menstrual bleeding and guess what doctors prescribe to regulate this symptom?
It’s usually birth control pills! In the long run, birth controls contribute to excess estrogen and sooner or later the woman will have to geta hysterectomy.
This could have been avoided by eliminating increased estrogen. Simple ain’t it?
Can fibroids be cured?
If fibroids are caused by too much estrogen, is there a way to take excess estrogen out of the body? There sure is. There are two natural substances which can eliminate excess estrogen and those are:
Calcium D-Glucarate
DIM (DiIndoly Methane)
[ Cruciferous Vegetables like Broccoli also reduce estrogen]
Also, keep in mind if your estrogen levels are high, then it means progesterone levels are low and need to be increased. There are natural progesterone creams and herbs that can help bring progesterone levels up a which work naturally with the body.
Fibroids aren’t a complicated thing but by treating symptoms and not getting to the root cause of the problem, they can be.
Many doctors only understand one modality of treatment for woman’s health issues and it is usually pharmaceutical drugs and because of this there is never any real cure only a masking of what’s going on at a deeper level.
