This video is intended to provide some information on supertasters and will explain the size characteristics of fungiorm papillae, why non-supertasters and supertasters are different, how to paint a tongue blue, genetic bitter receptor gene, the saliva hormone, and PROP a thyroid medication that is placed onto a test strip and used to determine bitter taste found in supertasters. All participants agreed to be filmed and signed a release. The administration of PROP was done outside of a dental office.
