Turmeric powder is a bright yellow powder made by dry grinding of mature turmeric rhizomes (underground stems). The use of turmeric for coloring and flavoring food, for cosmetic purposes and for medicinal properties dates back to the ancient Vedic culture of India. Used in almost all Indian curries, this spice has almost no calories (1 tablespoon = 24 calories) and zero cholesterol. It is rich in dietary fiber, iron, potassium, magnesium and vitamin B6.

Known as “the golden spice of life,” turmeric boasts a multitude of health and medical benefits. Combined with lemon juice, turmeric produces a doubly powerful anti-oxidiant paste that results in a gorgeous, even and youthful complexion.

For oily skin like me I use lemon and turmeric and a little amount of fresh milk.

For dry skin use olive oil, fresh milk or yogurt and of course pure Turmeric Powder.

Healing Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties. These properties, in fact, make turmeric the most healing spice that can be used to cure pimples.

Lemon juice contains L-asorbic acid, a natural astringent which dries out the acne, as well as antibacterial compounds that fight acne-producing bacteria.[1] Although lemon juice can be incredibly effective if used properly, care must be taken not to make lesions worse and avoid increased sensitivity and sun damage.
