Extracting THCa from Raw Cannabis (Experiment)

This is a quick video we made demonstrating how you can use a solvent such as food grade ethanol to extract THCa (Δ9-THCA) from raw cannabis. THCa can be useful for patients with neurological diseases such as dravete syndrome and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. After filtering the cannabis extract we place the remaining cannabis in a juicer to remove as much cannabinoids and terpenes as possible. The extract tastes amazing (lemon flavour) and is far less psychoactive than an extract that is made from cannabis that has been cured and decarboxylated. This was made for an elderly woman who has chronic obstructive pulmonary (PULL-mun-ary) disease or COPD. She is over 70 years of age and is using this extract now on a daily basis. A drop or two diluted in olive oil make her more comfortable. More research is needed to determine exactly how THCa is beneficial to treating certain diseases. We are not doctors.
