Locally grown raw honey has helped alleviate my summertime allergies almost near extinction. When I was about 16 years old, I developed summertime allergies. I lived and worked on a farm almost every single day and it was terrible! I had to take pills everyday and usually a couple times a day starting about the end of May beginning of June until the end of August.
Fast forward to January 2012 when someone told me to try eating 1-2 teaspoons of raw locally grown honey. It came from someone who claimed to have the same issues until 10 years prior when they learned about honey, bought their own hives and produced their own honey for personal use.
I thought they were crazy but I was tired of taking allergy pills and having to try new kinds or switch up every year because my old ones weren’t working any more. I did as they suggested, I put about 2 teaspoons of raw locally grown honey in my oatmeal starting on March 1st of that year. That summer I ended up needing allergy pills……..3 total for the entire summer!
I did the same thing every year since and I have had about the same result. Last year I only needed 1 allergy pill for the entire summer.
Maybe it won’t work for you, but I swear by it and I have nothing to gain from you trying it. I have been extremely religious about it because I freakin hate allergies and it has worked wonders for me. Like I mentioned above, 2 teaspoons with oatmeal, on plain cheerios, in a green smoothie, piece of toast or bagel, or just plain lick it off the spoon. Let me know if you try it or if you’ve tried it and how it worked out for you. If you suffer like I did, I hope it will work for you. You have to find it as close to where you live as possible! Within a couple of miles is the recommended choice. 😀
