David Brownstein MD – Does Iodine Cause, Worsen, Treat or Improve Autoimmune Thyroid
Posted by onDetails
Conventional medicine advises not to take iodine with autoimmune thyroid disorders and not to prescribe dessicated thyroid because it will exacerbate the disease. David Brownstein, MD challenges these concepts by presenting published research and clinical evidence that argue against the accuracy of these established models of practice. Significant animal, clinical and biochemical research supports the use of iodine in the majority of cases of hypothyroidism, with some exceptions. Detailed case studies elucidate the appropriate use of iodine to acheive outstanding clinical outcomes. David Brownstein, M.D. is a Board-Certified family physician and is an expert in the areas of thyroid and iodine. This video is a clip from a lecture at one of the annual medical conferences hosted by the Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine (AARM).
