Cannabis: Blood Pressure and Heart

Posted by on in Blood Pressure

Details

While cannabis does increase blood pressure often times, it does decrease blood pressure in other instances. In the context of posture, it’s likely that cannabis lowers blood pressure more often than elevates it. Regardless, cannabis users develop tolerance to the cardiovascular effects of the cannabinoids. Overall, cannabis does not pose a major threat to the heart for the vast majority of users and, when cannabis increases blood pressure, it’s only to a modest extent, most of the time.
